Years of packing trays
for other people's big days
Rajni has been composing hampers and tablescapes for many years — long enough that most of the work now arrives by word of mouth, from families who saw a tray at someone else's wedding and asked who made it. Every piece is still assembled by hand, in her own home in Ludhiana, one order at a time.
- 01Many years of practiceTrousseau packing, ceremony trays and festive hampers, through every kind of occasion an Indian family marks.
- 02First prize — Khyaal Super Cooking ContestJudged Khyaal Cooking Superstar 60+, for a spread laid out exactly the way she lays out a table at home.
- 03Semi-finalist, BawarchiAnother turn in front of a judging panel — the food and the table have always been the same craft here.
- 04Known by reputationVery little of this work is advertised. It travels between families, which is the only recommendation that has ever mattered.
